Choreographic Lens

In this seminar-like format, we explore and reflect upon choreography as an expanded practice – a methodological lens that can be applied to a wide range of activities: from organisation, reflection, and analysis through production and post-production to archiving, and documentation, while continuously rethinking strategies of displaying and publishing.
We will study various historical and contemporary practices of choreographers that create both material and immaterial works, experiment with medium and media and often intertwine technology, trans-disciplinary approach, collaboration, archival materials and cultural influences. We will investigate material traces that dance can produce and moments when documents become autonomous artworks.
